The "Africa-Changsha Beauty" program, initiated by the Changsha Women's Federation, made its debut at the recently held 2026 China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Africa (Morocco), the Changsha Women's Federation said on June 14, 2026. The characteristic content, including the African Mothers' Farm Project, Changsha women's intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and public welfare projects of the Changsha Women and Children's Development Foundation, attracted many Chinese and African guests to stop and exchange ideas.

The "Africa-Changsha Beauty" program, a homophonic combination of "Africa" and "Changsha" meaning "exceptionally beautiful," is an international women's exchange and cooperation program initiated by the Changsha Women's Federation, aiming at African countries. Adhering to the concept of "jointly building a friendly home and sharing the beauty of development," the program is committed to creating a model cooperation brand for local governments in China and Africa in the fields of gender equality and family development.

The debut at Morocco marks the project's
first foray into Africa, signifying a substantial step in the
internationalization of Changsha's efforts in women's work. Next, the
Changsha Women's Federation will steadily promote two-way cooperation
between Chinese and African women across three major areas of capacity
building, people-to-people exchange, and industrial alignment. The
"Guardian Project," a public welfare initiative that garnered
significant attention at the booth, has trained 262 professional
volunteer lecturers, delivered a total of 320 classes, distributed over
2,000 "Guardian Kits" to left-behind adolescent girls, and benefited a
total of 300,000 school-age children both online and offline.
At the exhibition, Peng Juan, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and
chairperson of the Changsha Women's Federation, on behalf of the
Changsha Women's Federation, presented Changsha women's handmade
paper-cut artwork to Fadil, general director of Industry at the Moroccan
Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Peng noted that the Changsha Women's
Federation will take this event in Morocco as a starting point to
continuously deepen connections with women's organizations and
government departments in various African countries, promoting pragmatic
cooperation between Chinese and African women in areas such as family
building, entrepreneurship and employment, healthcare, and cultural
exchange.
