Recently, a shipment of 168 tonnes of goods departing from Onne Port
in Nigeria to Nansha Port in Guangzhou arrived at Chenzhou Inland Port
via sea-rail intermodal transport service. This marked that Chenzhou
Inland Port has achieved two-way operations of intermodal transport
supervision model for import and export goods, effectively reducing the
burden on foreign trade enterprises while enhancing their efficiency.
Trade with Africa is an important sector of Chenzhou's foreign trade,
with logistics efficiency and costs directly impacting industrial
competitiveness. The new customs supervision model adopts the
"multimodal transport declaration form," enabling import and export
enterprises to achieve "a single customs declaration with a single
transport document." This significantly streamlines declaration
procedures, reduces transit time, and lowers logistics costs, truly
realizing seamless connectivity of the sea-rail intermodal transport.
In January of this year, Chenzhou Land Port became the first in the
province to implement the new customs supervision model for sea-rail
intermodal transport of export goods. With the recent implementation of
this model for import goods, Chenzhou Land Port has established itself
both as a vital hub for Hunan products going global and a fast track for
overseas goods entering Hunan. This development has further opened up
international logistics channels for Chenzhou, laying a solid foundation
for the sustained, high-quality growth of the local open economy.
